There When You Need Us Most

Sheldon knows these decisions can carry a lot of weight. That’s one of the reasons he chose to build his practice around family law. He wanted to do work that allows him to step in during difficult moments, listen to what people are facing, and help them find a path forward.

For Sheldon, being a good attorney means more than knowing the law. It means being someone clients can turn to when they have questions, need a straight answer, or simply need to know what their next step should be.

That’s the kind of advocate he strives to be for every family he represents.

Community Matters

Sheldon has been involved in Central Ohio in a number of ways over the years, from working with the Department of Development to serving on the boards of South Side Thrive Collaborative and Short North Stage. He has also volunteered with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, the Legal Aid Society of Columbus, and Dress for Success.

Sarah K. Myer

Sarah has dedicated her career to serving families and has worked in the field of family law since before earning her Juris Doctor. Her commitment to child welfare began prior to law school, when she served as a Guardian ad Litem for abused and neglected children. She later attended The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she continued to strengthen her skills in mediation and conflict resolution through an externship with the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Dispute Resolution and Domestic Violence Programs.

After graduating from Moritz, Sarah began her legal career at a firm specializing in high-asset divorce cases before joining The Goodrum Law Group. She brings a client centered approach to every matter and is known for her ability to guide families through difficult transitions in a way that reduces conflict and supports long term financial and emotional stability. Her strategies are tailored to the unique needs of each client, whether the case requires negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Sarah also brings a personal understanding of the challenges faced by LGBTQ families. After she and her wife navigated a custody dispute, she developed a special interest in supporting LGBTQ individuals and families as they work to protect their parental rights and family relationships. This experience deepened her commitment to providing informed, empathetic, and strategic representation to clients whose family structures may not fit traditional expectations.

She is a trusted advocate who represents individuals and families in divorce, custody, and related domestic relations matters with clarity, compassion, and strong legal advocacy. Her practice includes amicable dissolutions, complex divorce litigation, post decree custody matters, and Guardian ad Litem appointments.
