Why Family Law?
Sheldon chose family law because he understands that these issues are deeply personal and often arise during some of the most difficult times in a person’s life. Questions about family stability, parenting time, and financial security can feel overwhelming—and that’s where he believes he can make a real difference.

Community Leadership and Service
In addition to his legal practice, Sheldon is dedicated to community engagement and leadership. He has worked with the Department of Development, assisted with community organizing and nonprofit partnerships, and continues to serve on the board of the South Side Thrive Collaborative and Short North Stage. Sheldon also volunteers with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, the Legal Aid Society of Columbus, and Dress for Success, helping individuals and families build stronger futures.

Commitment to Education
Sheldon holds a Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School, a Master’s in Public Administration from The Ohio State University’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs, and a Bachelor of Arts and Science from Ohio State. He also teaches public management and negotiation as an adjunct professor at the Glenn College, where he mentors emerging public leaders.
Perspective and Balance
Outside of the office, Sheldon enjoys spending time in the air as a licensed pilot, finding peace above the clouds. On the ground, he stays active with running—whether it’s a sunrise jog or a local 5K and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes (OH-IO!).
